The Masterplan
Angel Property has commisssioned a masterplan by CZWG Architects for the Phoenix Quarter, which we feel, will halt years of decline and provide an opportunity to maximise the potential of this unique site.
This vision for the Phoenix Quarter includes a mix of offices, shops, studios, artisan workshops, cinema, restaurants, cafes, together with 775 new homes and associated services. It would generate a diverse range of new employment together with the associated scheme proposed for Malling Brooks that will provide a new light industrial estate, to replace those uses currently on site.
The Phoenix Quarter development will be undertaken as a phased regeneration project, and it is anticipated that the total scheme will take approximately five years to complete.
We have a commitment to getting the details right in this development, from landscaping and lighting, to the use of materials and the scale and character of individual buildings and public spaces.
This masterplan has been exhibited to the public at the old Market Street Garage to help local people understand the overall vision of the Phoenix Quarter.
The exhibition boards contained large scale and detailed drawings by the architects, landscape designers and engineers involved in the project, along with over 4000 words of textual information.
The scale of the exhibition materials makes it impractical to render them suitably as web pages, but it is all available in pdf format in our downloads section.
There is now also an exhbition of a 3D scale model, and artists impressions, at Lewes Town Hall until April 30th.
